The Dishes We Had :
Puuchkla – These Pani Puri or Puchka as they are called in Calcutta are the best street food you can have in India on a hot summer day, a rainy day, a gloomy day, basically a day you want your mood to be uplifted. It was really spicy, tangy and thirst quenching preperation.
Papri Chat – What I like special in these dahi and papri chat snacks is that in one bite you get to taste so many flavours & taste i.e. in this Papri Chat, you will get to taste the sweetness of the curd, crispiness of papri, soft melt in the mouth boiled potatoes and not to forget the Indian spices which added their own zing, tang and spiciness to the dish.
Dahi Bada – Dahi vada is the yummiest and most liked snack in Indian cuisine. Fluffy, golden-coloured vadas might taste good as such, but they taste even better when made into tongue-tickling Dahi Vadas. Have been drownd in sweetened curds; and served with a drizzling of khajur imli ki chutney and a sprinkling of spice powders
Green Chana Chat – It is a very popular dish being healthy, and tasty. A tongue tickling chaat with boiled hara chana tossed with lime juice, chopped onion, green chillies and tomatoes.
Luchi Aloo dam – Luchi and aloo dum is the quintessential Bengali food for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Aloor Dum was so delicious. Traditional Bengali style puffed pooris made form All Purpose Flour perfect to mop up that delicious side dish.
Bread Ghugni – Ghugni is a popularly available street food from the Northern and Eastern parts of India. Made of dried peas, this is an ultimate “healthy snack idea” as well as a perfect curry to go with most breads. Me? I just devour this dish, it was super delicious and I just can’t seem to had enough!
Bread Queema – This authentic Indian minced meat Qeema recipe was so delicious. This minced meat recipe went super well with the Pav. It was spicy, but it won’t burn your mouth. It was delicious, yet very light. It was rtealy one of the many great eat-out attractions
Fish Roll – The fish rolls came out crispy and can taste the tasty stuffing with crispy breaded fillet. Dip into chutney and take a bite, you are in heaven.
Veg Spring Roll – Spring roll sheets filled with a mix of stir fried veggies and deep fried. They are perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy, delicious in the inside.
Chicken Stew – Actually, this recipe foot-stepped into Bengali kitchen since British era. The Bengali style of chicken stew is only a local version, that is widely spread throughout Europe. The taste of this chicken stew cooked with vegetables just gave this curry a unique flavor.
Fish Cutlet – Bengali Fish Cutlet. It’s is a crispy popular fish recipe which is enjoyed as an appetizer or evening snacks. This piece of Pure Vetki was awesome. Added french fries to it was just perfect !!
