Crossroad cafe , as the name suggests has its first outlet located at Prince Anwar Shah Road and Lake Gardens crossing. There is plenty of parking options nearby. We went in to find such a variety of menu items!

It is a small venture started by two brothers and young entrepreneurs Vishal and Adarsh Kajaria. It was started exactly a year ago in Feb.’16 with an aim to serve authentic and best food to the people of Kolkata at a reasonable pricing.

Don’t let the plain facade fool you. The shop was neat & clean. The menu was big and the options were listed clearly. The staff was pleasant and courteous. The price was very reasonable, the food was excellent, and the owner was friendly and engaging. He definitely wants to make sure you don’t go home hungry.

Here, we try to maintain the highest standards of quality without any use of preservatives and artificial colours. All the sauces and dips are kitchen made and hence , fresh.
Our chefs are highly qualified and are from the best cafes of Mumbai. Currently we are serving Italian, Mexican and American cuisines and also lately introduced some varieties of Chinese food too. We have a plan to come up with more of such outlets in various parts of Kolkata by this year end so that people can enjoy more and more – Vishal Kajaria, Partner, Crossroad Cafe

The Dishes We Had :

Yuzu Fizz – Yuzu tastes like a combination of grapefruit and mandarin.  Yuzu juice, orange wedges, orange water and simple syrup provide a nice,  exotic flavour. Such a cool drinks to hangout with in summer.


Chinese Salad –  Fried Noodles with vegetables tossed in chilli garlic sauce. Spice up your meals with this exotic Chinese-inspired salad. Easy and delicious, this salad is perfect by itself.  It is nice and crunchy with great flavor. This delicious salad is crisp, crunchy and cool.


Virgin Mojito – Virgin mojito is a classic refreshing drink. It is a great summer drink. The sweet taste accompanied by fragrance of mint and addition of tangy lime makes for a really refreshing summer beverage.The minty lemony freshness of this crushed ice creation will keep you cool for hours.


Burrito Bowl (Chicken) – Mexican Rice with Roasted Chicken, refried beans,  pickled jalapeno, lettuce, sour cream& cheese on top. Everything gets cooked and pulled together and rewarded us with a delicious, healthy dinner at the end of the day. Delicious! The roasted chicken was adding an awesome flavour.  it is a satiating one-dish meal, which is completely worth a try. Here, rice is boosted with colourful veggies and appropriate seasonings; layered with refried beans, sour cream ; and finally garnished with cheese and other ingredients; Refried beans is a staple accompaniment in Mexican cuisine.Enjoyed it immediately upon serve.


Roast Lemon Chicken Salad with apricot, fresh coriander, mixed lettuce, sun dried tomato and pickled red cabbage. With an incredible dressing it was unbelievably tasty and most importantly the all of us loved it. This light and lovely chicken salad was a tasty combination of sweet and zesty flavours.


Bubble Berry Shake –  We were dying for a bubble drink! Yelped it, and tadah!! Eureka! The drink was blended to perfection, very smooth. It wasn’t too sweet either. The bubble berry concrete is full of plump berries not dried up canned ones. My mouth is watering as I write this! This was my first time trying a Bubble Berry Shake.


Strawberry Oreo Shake – We absolutely loved the strawberry oreo concrete. It was very fresh and absolutely amazing! Combines the traditional cocoa flavour with a wonderfully smooth strawberry oreo flavoured creme filling; a glorious combination, guaranteed to tantalise the taste buds and awaken your imagination.


Crsipy Chilli Chicken  – A super tasty recipe for those with a taste for sweet chilli – can be made extra hot by adding more chillis! This Chinese crispy chilli chicken recipe is a wonderful mix of hot and spicy Crispy Chickens with sticky, sweet and savory sweet homemade schezwan sauce. So good you will want to lick the plate!


Corn & Spinach Sandwich  – It is made with spinach, corn & white sauce. These are the best combination ever in a sandwich.  Consists of a flavorful aromatic white sauce, sweet corn, and chopped spinach mixture. This vegan, gluten-free, easy recipe is perfect to serve for any meal or party appetizer! Everyone loves a nice juicy sandwich with the works accompanying piping hot french fries.


Smoked Chilli Chicken Pizza  –  Pizza with chicken tossed in smoked chilli sauce. Enjoy a savory slice of grilled pizza topped with smoked chilli chicken , white barbecue sauce, onions, and cheese. This smoked chicken pizza had a nice smoky flavor and a little kick from the spicy chilli sauce that has been used as the base. The Smokiness of the chicken combined with the spiciness of the sauce is awesome.  I could eat this over and over again.


Veg Hakka Noodles  – Noodles again , yes 🙂 This time it was perfect veg hakka noodles. Noodles were coated with various sauces , ginger , garlic , salt and pepper and quickly tossed in pan fried veggies. Liked the noodles not too oily and evenly coated with sauce  , with lightly cooked crunchy veggies and not mushy.


Bar B Q Roasted Chicken Pizza  – Yummy !  It was great and really different from traditional pizza. Delicious pizza topping! This is an unusual sounding combination, but this tasted wonderful as a pizza topping.This disappeared very quickly – everyone wanted more. Fresh Sliced Onions spread over baked-to-perfection thin and crispy gluten-free crust. Enjoyed every bite of this delightful preparation.

IMG_20170217_201635Schezwan Chicken Rice  – A mildly spicy, hot and delicious chicken fried rice with soft and tender chicken chunks. This chicken fried rice does not need any accompaniment and tastes great on its own. This Schezuan cuisine is characterised by bold flavours, brought about by pungent ingredients like garlic and chillies.


Grilled Fish with stir fried vegetables in a phyllo pastry basket with a caper lime sauce, fresh herbs and paprika. I am always looking for something.different. It was quite a rewardto this fishy adventure. The flavours blend well together and the aroma is just delightful when you cut into your parcel. Oh, chef really hit the nail on the head. So beautiful, and tasty-looking too! Along with crispy, crunchy garlic bread this has remained a firm favourite – I strongly recommend it!


Butter Chilli Mushroom – For me you cannot beat a nice Spanish meal that includes chilli. The more the merrier. I really wanted to have my taste buds tingling with this spicy food. Served with Mushroom tossed in Butter with Onion, Garlic and Herb. Uses of generous amount of butter has given a great flavour and taste. A classic Indo-Chinese appetizer.


Peri Peri Chicken Burger –  What I really love about this is that you can treat it as burgers or not, Tthe marinade is so full of flavour, you could easily have it up for dinner without the buns.  Homemade Peri Peri sauce, Cheddar cheese and onion rings. The caramelisation was really fab. Ooooh, the flavour infusion from the marinade…it’s incredible! Served with crispy french fries.


Grilled Chicken in pepper mushroom sauce served with garlic rice and side veggies –
A soulful meal of Garlic Rice with Grilled Chicken and creamy Mushroom Sauce. Try your tastebuds at it and I assure it will become one of your weekend staples.


Porcini Mushroom Risotto – Arborio rice cooked with fresh porcini mushrooms and white sauce. The porcini mushrooms made this dish a real umami packed treat. The flavour in the mushrooms were so deeply savoury that it made a simple vegetarian dish reminiscent of a decadent steak dinner. A simple and elegant dish.


Red Velvet Pastry – Special occasions deserve something extraordinary and Red Velvet Cakes can be your best bet for such occasions. The dark red mahogany color when sandwiched between snowy white creamy layers is sure to be a little eye catchy for your eyes and melt in mouth.


Creme Brulee Pastry – It was more than a perfect toffee-topped dessert. The cake itself is incredibly moist, which pairs wonderfully with the light and fluffy frosting. An outrageously delicious pastry at the end of the day !


The food was sumptuous and really pocket friendly. This place is always busy and packed full of people. Don’t let that stop you from stopping by and getting a great tasting treat. The service is fast and the selections are quite satisfying. You will enjoy the crowd and the ambiance. But all in all, I loved the place and looking forward to visiting again sometime soon! Come here and eat and you will love it!
