How much Sweet is too much Sweet, you might ask. In Kolkata, the answer is: There’s no such thing!
The city of joy is famous for a lot of things, landmarks and achievements but the one which stands out in Kidderpore area is Satish Chandra Das & Sons sweet shop.It is a small but one of the best and the finest sweet shops in town, yes comparatively it is slightly out of the main city area but it is definitely worth every penny.
It’s been a landmark place and one of the pride of kolkata! It does not have fancy looks neither fancy packaging. But you can rest assure about the quality of the Sweet you gonna have! In the evening of Janmasatmi it was fully packed up and the Customers were really shown their patience to provide the best sweet to the Lord Krishna !
I would suggest that if you visit the place once at least you will not be disappointed and yes the sweets and wonderful and really delicious and one just cannot complain about the service or the quality of the sweets.
On the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami (Gokulashtami), it is customary to prepare a few traditional sweets and savories. As Lord Krishna was very fond of milk and milk products, devotees make various dishes of milk to please the Lord.
And I am privileged to part of Janmastami Celebration with special sweet items at legendary Sweet shop like Satish Chandra Das & Sons.
