Based on a friend’s recommendation we came here to try out their Biryani and other dishes. I was craving for Biryani for a while.
Came back to work quickly and opened up my aromatic lunch, its ginormous! It came in a pot sealed with laccha on top which contained the heat inside, brilliant presentation, a sure shot attention grabber ! In for spicy Biryani ?? Here you are … A weird experience climaxed to a water seeking tongue, enjoyable meal.
Murg Hyderabadi Biryani served with Salan, extra few minutes of dum to Biryani right before serving and it gives the perfect smoky flavour and aroma of spices when we dig into it. The biryani is full of flavor. Bone-in chicken was soft and tender. I love how the different shades of basmati rice make up for such harmonious taste. Lest we forget the chicken buried beneath the mound of rice. It was pipping hot yet it was delicious as well. Best part is the spice; it’s interesting because the spice level does not wane even if your take a break from chewing down, and I like it. The connoisseur in me tells me this was very different from the Kolkata Biryani we use to have here.
Chicken Korma Tender juicy chicken chunks, in a thicker creamy sauce was really good. Gravy was freshly cooked and fantastic! Not too greasy and spices blended very well. Was definitely on the spicy side but we were prepared for it.
Biriyani By Kilo’s food is quite good and has surpassed my expectations, will continue to order different shades of food from this place. Usually most of the restaurants exceed initial few months of opening and quality significantly goes down later. I hope they continue same quality.
